From SoulFest to A Series of Magical Events

The story is changing. The community isn't.

For four years, SoulFest Nebraska brought together vendors, artists, makers, practitioners, educators, volunteers, and curious people from across Central Nebraska and beyond.

What began as a metaphysical expo grew into something much bigger. It became a place to discover something new. A place to meet people who understood you. A place to support small businesses and local creators. A place to learn, explore, laugh, wander, wonder, and sometimes find exactly what you didn't know you were looking for.

And somewhere along the way, we realized something important:

The magic was never just in the name.

It was in the people.

It was in the community that gathered around those events and made them what they were.

And that magic is coming with us.

Four Years Taught Us a Lot

SoulFest gave us four incredible years of experience—and four years of lessons.

We learned what makes an event feel welcoming, and learned how much creativity and talent exists right here in Nebraska. We learned how important clear communication, good organization, thoughtful planning, and strong relationships are.

We learned that vendors need more than a table and a place to stand. They need resources, support, promotion, connection, and opportunities to grow. We learned that attendees want more than a room full of booths. They want experiences. They want to participate. They want to learn something, make something, discover something, meet someone, and feel like they belong.

And perhaps most importantly, we learned that the strongest communities aren't built by one person.

They're built together.

A New Chapter

SoulFest's story is coming to a close, but the community it helped create isn't.

The next chapter is being built by The Magical Community Collaborative, LLP, founded by Sundri Jones, Taylor Laveau, and Donna Anderson, and our non-owner creative committee members, Megan Kenney and Christina Oeltjen.

Our organization exists to create and support community-centered experiences throughout Nebraska—events that bring together creativity, curiosity, wellness, learning, local businesses, artists, makers, practitioners, educators, families, and people who simply enjoy discovering something a little different.

And that brings us to what comes next:

✨ A Series of Magical Events ✨

ASOME is our new series of events.

It's inspired by everything we loved about SoulFest while giving us the freedom to explore what these gatherings can become. You'll still find many familiar elements: metaphysical and spiritual offerings, crystals, tarot, wellness, unique treasures, artists, makers, practitioners, and small businesses. But we're opening the doors wider.

We're creating more opportunities for:

  • Workshops and demonstrations

  • Make-and-take experiences

  • Educational opportunities

  • Interactive experiences

  • Local artists and makers

  • Small and emerging businesses

  • Wellness practitioners

  • Community organizations * Non-profits

  • Family-friendly experiences

  • Networking and collaboration

  • Volunteers and community participation

These aren't simply shopping events.

They're places to wander, wonder, participate, and belong.

Where We're Going

In 2027, we're planning three seasonal events:

🌱 Spring — Grand Island

March 13, 2027

☀️ Summer — Kearney

June/July 2027 — Date TBA

🍂 Fall — Hastings

September 2027 — Date TBA

These events are just the beginning.

We're also building stronger vendor resources, a volunteer community, educational opportunities, community partnerships, and connections with other Nebraska businesses, metaphysical shops, wellness spaces, artists, makers, and events.

Our goal isn't to become the only place where magic happens.

Our goal is to help make more magic happen.

The Gates Are Open

If you've been part of SoulFest—whether you were there from the beginning or walked through the doors for the first time last year—we want you to know that you have a place in this next chapter.

If you're a vendor, we want to build with you, if you're an artist or maker, we want to make room for you, if you're a practitioner or educator, we want to hear what you have to share, If you're a volunteer, we want you on the team, if you're a community organization or local business, we'd love to find ways to collaborate.

And if you're simply someone who likes wandering into a room and wondering what treasures, people, ideas, or experiences you'll discover.....

Come on in.

The gates are open.

The story is changing.

The community isn't.

And the magic?

It's coming with us.
